Recommended method of use:

Add 3 teaspoons of ground coffee to the drip coffee filter and lightly press the coffee down with the top strainer. Place the filter on the cup and pour a small amount of hot water (96-100°C) to moisten the coffee. Wait about 20 seconds, then fill the filter with hot water and cover with the lid. Over the next 5 minutes, the water should drip through the filter strainer. Then remove the coffee filter from the cup.

Product detailed description

The original way of preparing coffee in Vietnam — a clean, simple, authentic ritual

The Phin filter is the foundation of Vietnamese coffee culture. This is how coffee is prepared in Vietnam in homes, cafés, on the streets, in offices and at markets. The Phin filter combines three things: simplicity, intense extraction and maximum preservation of aromatic oils in the cup.

Just put ground coffee into the filter, lightly tamp it, pour hot water over it and let it slowly drip. This process takes a few minutes — and therein lies the magic of the Vietnamese coffee ritual. Coffee isn't prepared in a hurry. The slow drip creates a full, chocolatey, dense taste with intense aroma.

The Phin filter is the ideal choice for everyone who wants to experience coffee the way it's drunk in Vietnam itself.

Works perfectly with Trung Nguyen coffees (Gourmet Blend, Premium Blend, Creative/Success series).

Why have a Phin filter at home:

  • original preparation of Vietnamese coffee

  • simple and elegant process without a coffee machine

  • strong extraction and full flavour

  • ideal for home, office and travel

  • almost indestructible — lasts for years

The Phin filter is more than a method. It's the zen ritual of Vietnamese coffee.
