Preparing Vietnamese coffee

You can prepare real, authentic Vietnamese coffee using a "Phin" coffee filter.

You can achieve great results by adding sweet condensed milk,

which will further enhance the taste and experience of the coffee.

In the hot climate of Vietnam, coffee is often served with ice, resulting in an incredibly delicious,

invigorating iced coffee.

1) Add 2-3 teaspoons of ground coffee to a drip coffee filter and lightly press the coffee through the top sieve.

2) Use glass cups to enhance the visual experience of the coffee making ritual. Pour 0.5-1 cm of sweetened condensed milk into the cup. Place the filter on a cup and pour a small amount of hot water (96-100°C) to moisten the coffee.

3) Wait about 20 seconds, then fill the dripper with hot water and cover with the lid. During the next 5-7 minutes, the water should drip through the filter strainer.

4) Remove the lid, turn it over and place the dripper filter and dripper saucer on top. The remaining coffee drops from the filter will be caught in the lid to keep your table clean.

You can serve Vietnamese coffee hot, or add ice if you want to serve iced coffee.
